Quality Assurance Program Implementation Study
The explanation given above shows that the implementation of the quality assurance program at UB is a unity with the implementation of the whole UB. Implementation of quality assurance at the PS indicated by AIMA has done Batch 1 and 2 from 2007 until 2009, and AIM Batch 1 and 2 in 2010. Thus UB has audited by 7 cycles of internal quality assurance of the Faculty and Department / Program Studies. The scope of the audit adapted to the general weakness in the faculty or Department / Study Program. For example, the AIM Batch 2 of the audit with the scope of the standard 1, 2 and 5 of the standard quality of BAN-PT. The impact of the implementation of SPMI is obtaining ISO 9001: 2008 in PJM units, Library, Public Relations and Administrative Bureau of Academic and Student Affairs in 2010. As for the year 2011 to the year 2012 has made the certification of ISO 9001: 2008 certification from LRQA covering all work units at UB. As for 2013, has made AIM UKPPA Cycle 12 for courses in the UB and the AIM Laboratory UKPA Cycle 2.
External Quality Assurance (International Institutions)
In 2012, the UB received ISO 9001: 2008 (Quality management systems -Requirements), which is an international standard that contains the requirements that must be met by an organization if it wants to demonstrate that its management system has the ability to meet customer requirements and other regulations appropriate in the areas of quality, good quality products and processes in order to achieve customer satisfaction. ISO 9001: 2008 was obtained from the Institute of Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA). As a consequence, the entire UKPA (Work Units Academic Units) and UKPPA (Work Unit Supporting Academic Units) which is under the control of the UB must fulfill and implement the overall standard of Quality Management System (QMS) required by ISO 9001: 2008.
As one UKPA from UB is also not free from the obligation. As for some of the quality management system standard in question is related to the scope, reference set (normative references), the terms and definitions, quality management system (quality management system), management responsibility, resource management, product realization, measurement, analysis & improvement. As for some of the results of external quality assurance systems that implement the general environment of the UB is to improve the environmental performance of companies; improve the efficiency of activities; improve the management of the organization to implement the planning, implementation, measurement and corrective action (plan, do, check, act); increase regulation of the provisions of the laws and regulations in terms of environmental management; reduce business risk, and improve the competitiveness of the institution. The order to safeguard the quality management system of external (QMS) ISO 9001: 2008), since obtaining the title of certified until today, has been carried out three times a surveillance process of ISO 9001: 2008 by LRQA. This activity is intended to allow all UKPA and UKPPA, always committed to implementing the overall standards required and to maintain the continuity of implementation.
