Quality Assurance Policy

Quality Assurance Policy are inseparable from the quality of the policy of quality assurance at the university level. This policy is reflected in the Vision, Mission and Strategic Plan (Strategic Plan) University of Brawijaya (UB) 2011 – 2014. Strategic Plan of UB:

Initiation of a more systematic quality management in UB is done through the implementation of Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI), one of which is based on the Quality Management System (QMS) ISO 9001: 2008. Quality assurance system that is integrated within each unit of work activities in order to realize internal management will not only have an impact on internal process improvement services, but it also needs to be oriented towards customer satisfaction (stakeholders).

Therefore, in accordance with the Work Programme as an embodiment of the Strategic Plan 2007-2011 Rector UB, Rector Work Program are grouped into three pillars. Pillar II: Quality, relevance and Competitiveness. Implementation of pillar II is the institutional strengthening quality assurance UB level, the University called the Center for Quality Assurance (PJM), level Faculty / Program / Graduate Program called Force for Quality Assurance (GJM), level Department / Study Program called the Unit for Quality Assurance (UJM).

Quality Assurance System

Quality assurance systems in the UB JAFEB built on quality assurance policy at University level. Center for Quality Assurance (PJM) UB establish quality assurance systems typical model of the UB (madhhab Brawijaya) which in 2006-2009 called the Academic Quality Assurance System (SPMA). This system is based on a combined system of quality standards Competitive Grant Program (PHK) and of Higher Education. In line with the quality assurance cycle implementation experience in UB, then starting in 2010 until now UB’s quality assurance system called Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI). The system combines a model of quality management system ISO 9001: 2008, Higher Education, layoffs and BAN-PT, with the aim that this system can be flexibly implemented in a variety of purposes, so that the system is efficient and effective. Can be used in internal and external quality assurance (ISO certification and accreditation of national mapun international). SPMI UB starting from: 1. the organization of quality assurance at the University, Faculty / Program / Graduate Program and the Department / Study Program, 2. and 3. Audit System documents.
